Get the most out of your revision time with the Pomodoro Technique

ree

The idea behind the Pomodoro technique is that by committing to focus on a task in short bursts of time, only 25 minutes with no other distractions, you firstly have to divide tasks into manageable chunks ("chunking" will have its own blog post soon) and the short time span means you can concentrate better. You are rewarded with a short break of 5 minutes after each block of time and after 4 rounds, you should take a longer break. This method enables you to start judging time better which is an important skill when you are writing exams and it helps to avoid fatigue. Try it!

This clip from the Open University summarises the Pomodoro technique https://youtu.be/QACB1z6I8LQ. There is also an online timer here.
